Mumbai, Apr 11 (ANI): Expressing happiness at his team's victory over Kings XI Punjab in their Indian Premier League (IPL) debut at the D Y Patil Stadium here on Sunday, Pune Warriors coach Geoff Marsh said it was a good all-round display.
"It was a good all-round performance. "The bowlers bowled really well. They got Gilly (Adam Gilchrist) and Shaun (Marsh) early and continued to keep the pressure on," said the former Australian opener after the match.
Marsh said the team always wanted to start the campaign on a winning note, which will now strengthen and boost the confidence of the team for the remaining matches of the tournament.
Meanwhile expressing his happiness over the win, Shrikant Wagh said he was lucky to get the man of the match award in the team's first match.
