Dhaka, Apr. 11 (ANI): Australian cricket team coach Tim Nielsen has urged middle-order batsman Cameron White to hit the ball like he means it to get out of his form slump.
Nielsen said that if White wanted to keep his spot in the squad, he needed to back his attacking instincts.
"He's got to [trust] his skills. We've got one day before the next game, he's not going to reinvent the wheel. He's got to keep trusting himself to play his way," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Nielsen, as saying.
"I'd prefer to see him try to hit it for six if he's going to hit it in the air, rather than work the ball over the top. He's just going through a little patch where everything he's working on doesn't quite come off for him," Nielsen added.
He said that if White's bad form continued, South Australian batsman Callum Ferguson, who averages 44 from 28 one-day internationals, could replace him. (ANI)
