Wicketkeeper Mohammad Salman will win his first Test caps for Pakistan after being named in the squad for the two-match series against West Indies.
The 29-year-old, who has featured in the ongoing limited-overs series against the same opposition, replaces Adnan Akmal, who had taken over from brother Kamran after his high-profile omission following a series of blunders.
Salman is joined in the 15-man squad by two other new faces in the shape of all-rounder Hammad Azam and left-arm seamer Junaid Khan, who have also played in the one-dayers and Twenty20 games.
Misbah-ul-Haq retains the captaincy of the side.
The first Test begins on May 12 at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
